Arnside Sailing Club is receiving a £2300 grant from the RYA Foundation for a joint project with Kent Estuary Youth Project.
The money will be used to pay for a RYA beginner sailing course at Killington for up to 14 young people in August with follow up sessions.
Kent Estuary Youth Project serves the needs of young people living round the Kent Estuary including Arnside, Storth and Milnthorpe. The Sailing Club is a charity whose aims include introducing young people to watersports.
