A chance for classic boats with traditional rigs to sail in the scenic estuary at Arnside. There is boat launching from the Promenade for towable boats. We also welcome bigger boats. Last year Hearts of Oak a 34 foot Morecambe Bay Prawner sailed up the estuary for the event.
Arnside has a long maritime heritage, Crossfields built Morecambe Bay Prawners, yachts and smaller boats including Arthur Ransome’s Swallow in the village. The Victorians held regattas.
